Hi Tern! There is no real purpose of achievements, other than for fun. One of the reasons I added them was to make the Steam version more polished, since most games on Steam have achievements.I also like the way that Steam shows the percentage of players who have achieved a certain result.
Currently, however, this stat is not revealing much, since the calculated stat is based on every Steam player that ever played Aberoth (but only current players are earning achievements).I am probably going to run a loop to try to set the achievements on Steam for inactive players as well (at least for the achievements I have access to). I will also probably put up an achievement stat page as well on the Champions page.I also plan to add to the achievements from time to time in the future. Hi Simple!Yes, that makes sense.

Aberoth is an Action-Adventure, MMORPG and Fantasy-based video game by Jarbit. The game offers retro graphics and tons of freedom to complete his main objective. The player can start his adventure is an orcish person with no possessions and abilities.
I don't play on Steam, so I'm not in the same mindset. At any rate, I'm really glad you're finding ways to craft the game in a way that follows the trends on Steam!I just checked out the Aberoth page on Steam.
It's good to see that the reviews are still mixed and that the recent reviews have been mostly positive. I hope the move to Steam is still helping you bring in more revenue and support the extra server load.I haven't been serious about playing for quite a few months now. And my standing on the leaderboard shows it, too. There are a lot of new players that have come up the ranks quickly and have shot right past me.
I'm glad you've renewed your devotion to making updates. Very good news to hear!Maybe I can get back into the game hardcore soon. I have another baby due in July, so that may or may not affect things. Take care, Simple. Keep up the great work, as always!. I was originally going to implement an export and import character from and to Steam, but I think I am going to keep them separate. The great thing about Steam (from my point of view) is that it completely eliminates stolen / hacked / lost / scammed accounts, which have been a big problem in the non-steam version. The downloadable client is exactly the same as the Steam version, however, except that the logon dialog asks for a name and password instead of getting the characters from Steam.

The quests are meant to guide you so that the challenge is comparable to your current skill level. If you feel a particular quest is too hard, try asking other players for help.Equipping WeaponsWhen you clicked the club that Inala dropped, it was automatically equipped as a primary weapon in your main hand.
If you were to click another weapon on the ground while holding your club, it would be equipped as your offhand weapon. Supposing you wanted to switch these weapons, you would first need to right-click (or shift-left-click) the weapons in your hands to drop them both, then click the weapon you want as your primary weapon to equip it in your main hand.
